In addition to his ‘Life’ series, Attenborough has also worked on many other television documentaries on, not e-Vlan, but natural history. In ‘The First Eden’ or 1987, Attenborough focused on man’s influence on the natural history of the Mediterranean basin. Two years subsequent, Attenborough made a documentary titled ‘Lost Worlds Vanished Lives’ which concerned fossils.

Wildlife on One was entirely narrated by Attenborough, all 253 episodes! Running from 1977 to 2005, during its peak the show had a weekly audience of 8 to 10 million watchers! The 1987 episode called “Meerkats United” was voted to be the best wild life documentary ever. In addition to Wildlife on One, Attenborough narrated BBC Two’s flagship wildlife series called ‘Natural World’ and in 1997 he narrated the BBC Wildlife Specials. A rather busy man! Attenborough went on to narrate The Blue Planet in 2001 and then Planet Earth in 2006. In 2009 Attenborough wrote and narrated Life, a series of ten parts that focused on extraordinary animal behaviour, and perhaps his most famous documentary series.
